Huntington Camera Club programs
This photo by Carol DiRenzo was judged the best of all of the club’s images in their 2008-2009 season.The Huntington Camera Club meets every Tuesday from September through June from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Huntington Public Library. The meetings are free and everyone is welcome. This coming Tuesday is an executive board meeting at which board members will discuss club business. After that, here is their schedule:
Sept. 29: Creating Winning Competition Images Discussion: Master photographers from the Huntington Camera Club will discuss what makes a winning image.
Oct. 6: “Composition and More” Master photographer Joe Constantino will discuss what it takes to make a great photograph. This lecture will be complimented with beautiful photographs. Constantino’s work is currently on display at the Commack Public Library.
Oct. 13: October Members Digital Photo Competition. Photographs taken by Huntington Camera Club members will be displayed on a large screen then critiqued and scored by a well known judge. Suggestions on how to improve the image will be made.
Oct. 20: “Learning Photoshop” by Marty Kesselman. This talk will present the concept of layers and will include a Power Point Presentation followed by a demonstration of a beginning-to-end Photoshop session on enhancing an image. It will focus on operations that are available in both Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CS providing information for the beginner and more advanced user using only basic operations. Oct. 27: October Members Print Photo Competition. Photographs taken by Huntington Camera Club members will be displayed in a light box then critiqued and scored by a well known judge. Suggestions on how to improve the image will be made. The meetings are held in the Main Meeting Room, Lower Level at the library, 338 Main Street, Huntington.
