South Huntington's homecoming

The streets were lined with community support as the Homecoming Parade of floats, led by the Wildcat Marching Band, wound its way through the neighborhood surrounding Walt Whitman High School on a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon.

And so, a week of homecoming events at Walt Whitman High School, including the ever-popular bon-fire on Friday night, culminated this past Saturday night with a heavily attended football game against Riverhead at Whitman's turf field. Whitman's Marching band will be hosting their home show competition with some of the areas finest bands this Saturday evening, 6:30 p.m. at the Whitman Turf field.
