Town to harvest rainwater at LIRR's Huntington station
An early design for the project will be subject to revision.
Last month the town appropriated up to $45,000 for a “green” exterior improvement project at the Huntington train station.
The project focuses on a Rainwater Harvesting System that involves three steps: capture rainwater, filter and store it and reuse it for landscape irrigation.
