Hundreds of mourners on Wednesday night went to a Huntington synagogue for a memorial service marking the life of murdered Yale grad student Annie Le. The mourners joined her fiance, Jonathan Widawsky, for a service remembering the 24-year-old Le as an intensely loving and giving woman who often remarked how lucky she was to be marrying her best friend.

The Huntington Town Board unveiled a $185-million preliminary operating budget for 2010 on Tuesday night that calls for no tax increases for residents in the four taxing funds: general, part-town, refuse and highway.
Town Supervisor Frank Petrone said the budget proposal represents a $10.5-million reduction in spending from this year.
