The Huntington Manor Fire Department and Huntington Community First Aid Squad responded to an accident in the northbound lanes of Route 110, opposite the Walt Whitman Mall, Saturday morning.

A Pontiac Trans Am traveling North on Middleville Road in Northport went out of control, slammed into a wall and then drifted onto the opposite side of the road. The driver was taken to Huntington Hospital by East Northport rescue.

The Melville Fire Department received a call Thursday to a motorcycle hit by a car at Ruland Road and Maxes Road in Melville.The driver of the motorcycle was severely hurt and a Suffolk County Police Helicopter was called to take him to the hospital, the driver of the car was taken by ambulance.
