Driver hurt in Huntington crash

At about 10 a.m. on Wednesday a red Taurus traveling South on Spring Street in Huntington near Gaines Street collided with a White Saturn turning onto Spring St from Gaines Street.  The two cars crossed the middle line and slammed into a street sign and then into the bushes. Army National Guard Pfc. Sukhyun Baik has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.  The training consists of Basic Infantry Training and Advanced Individual Training.

4 Hurt in Melville crash

The Melville Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision that resulted in four injuries Wednesday morning on Old Country Road and Wolf Hill Road.

Concerned Citizens of Huntington presented a 788-page petition on Tuesday seeking to abolish the at-large voting system and replace it with one that elects each town board member from a designated district.
