Centenarian: Anne D'Amato

Anne D'Amato was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Manhattan. She had seven sisters and one brother. Her only surviving sibling, Josephine, is in her 90s. Anne was married to Charles for 68 years before being widowed on May 5, 2005. They lived in Brooklyn before moving to Kings Park. Anne loves to do the Jumble puzzle in Newsday. She enjoyed baking and was known to her family as the "cookie aunt." She celebrated her birthday at a party with her two daughters, Lucille and Maryann, two sons-in-law, Carmine and Harvey, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.
