ELIZABETH (MAUDE)
ARMSTRONG, née Cochrane, was born Jan. 21, 1913, in Dublin. She came to New York to see her brother and the 1939 World's Fair. Maude stayed in New York and worked in Westbury as governess to Peggy Phipps' children during the war. Maude met Robert Armstrong, who worked at the Coe Estate in Oyster Bay.
