Centenarian: Marietta Capizzi
Marietta Capizzi was born Jan. 29, 1901, in Sicily. In 1919 she immigrated to America where she met her husband Frank Capizzi. They wed in 1922 and were married for 73 years before Frank died at the age of 99. Marietta and Frank owned a candy store in Canarsie, Brooklyn. They had two sons, Anthony, now deceased, and Peter.
