Morton Moskowitz was born Aug. 12, 1909. He served in the Army's Fourth Infantry Division and was wounded during the D-Day invasion on the beach in Normandy, France, and received a Purple Heart as well as six other medals including the World War II medal and the European Middle Eastern Campaign with five bronze stars and arrowhead.
