70thJEANNE AND VINCENT
BARBATO of Baldwin were wed May 27, 1943. They celebrated with a special Mass said by Msgr. John Martin at St. Christopher's Church in Baldwin, followed by breakfast with family at The Coach Diner in Baldwin. They were wed at Fort Knox, Ky., after Vincent was drafted into the Army. The couple has twin sons, two granddaughters and four great-granddaughters.
60thFLORENCE AND JAMES
TURNER of Medford were wed May 23, 1953. They celebrated with a family trip to Atlantic City hosted by their children. James retired as a vice president at Fleet Bank in Melville. Florence was an assistant manager at J.C. Penney in Bay Shore. They had four sons, three of whom survive, and six grandchildren.
50thROBERTA AND GEORGE
COWARD of Freeport were wed June 1, 1963, and honeymooned in Manhattan. George is a retired officer of Chase Bank. Roberta retired as a superintendent in the New York State Department of Corrections. They have four daughters and five grandchildren.
50thROSARIA AND SALVATORE DE RIGGI of Mineola were wed April 28, 1963. They celebrated with their family. Rosaria and Salvatore were next door neighbors in Italy and came to America 46 years ago. Salvatore retired from the maintenance department in the Village of Westbury. They have two children and six grandchildren.
50thPAT AND JACK PROVENZANO of Northport were wed April 28, 1963, at the Huntington Town House. They celebrated at a surprise party hosted by their four daughters. The celebration continued with a trip to Italy. Jack is a retired mechanic and service station owner. Pat is an artist and works as a dental receptionist. They have nine grandchildren.
35thROSEANNE AND ANTHONY PERULLO, residents of Floral Park since 1978, were wed May 6, 1978, at St. Gregory's in Bellerose. They celebrated with a trip to the island of Jamaica. Anthony is a heavy equipment operating engineer for Local 14. Roseanne is a bookkeeper for a real estate firm. They have three children and two grandchildren.
