70thELIZABETH AND PAUL MEDICI of East Northport, formerly of Woodhaven, Queens, were wed April 4, 1943, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Woodhaven. They celebrated with a surprise party at Mannino's Restaurant in Commack hosted by their three children. Elizabeth is a homemaker. Paul retired after 60 years of academic service at St. John's University in Queens. They had three grandchildren -- two of whom survive -- and four great-grandchildren.
60thMARGE AND BOB SNIDER of Massapequa were wed April 24, 1953, a week after Bob returned from serving in the Korean War. They had met at Newtown High School in Queens in 1948 and have been together ever since. Bob was a court clerk in Nassau County Court for 25 years and retired in 2000. Marge, an art teacher for 40 years, retired in 2012 from the Town of Hempstead. They have six children, 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
60thFLORENCE AND RALPH WHITE of Brentwood were wed Nov. 23, 1952, at St. Brigid's Church in Westbury. They celebrated with a party at the Harbor Crab Co. in Patchogue. Ralph is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is president of the Brentwood Seniors Club. They have seven children and nine grandchildren.
50thROSALIE AND BERNARD
SPIEGEL, formerly of Massapequa Park and now living in Delray Beach, Fla., were wed March 16, 1963. They celebrated with a cruise to Hawaii. In December they celebrated on a Caribbean cruise with their three daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter. Rosalie worked as a legal secretary. She plays piano and sings. Bernard worked as a production manager. He plays the drums and has done so professionally for many years. He is also a singer. They perform as a duo.
25thSUSAN AND PETER CONTINO of Syosset wed on April 16, 1988, in her hometown of Erie, Pa. They met in June of 1986 at the Nassau County Courthouse while she was on jury duty and he was an attorney. Peter is an equity partner at Rivkin Radler LLP, and Susan is an assistant director for the Nassau Region PTA. A Mediterranean cruise is planned in May. They have two sons.
