61stJOY AND VINCENT ASARO of East Meadow were wed Oct. 18, 1952. Originally from Brooklyn, they moved to East Meadow in 1959. They celebrated with their two daughters, three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Joy volunteered at Angel Guardian Home in Brooklyn in the early '50s. She worked for 27 years at Barnum Woods Elementary School as a cook manager. Vincent served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for 44 years at The New York Times as an assistant foreman.
50thLUCILLE AND AUGIE MICHELA of Lynbrook were wed Sept. 28, 1963, at St. Agatha Church in Brooklyn. Augie is an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He retired from the Transit Authority as a supervisor. Lucille is a retired secretary and homemaker. They have one son, who traveled with them and other family members on a 14-day trip to Italy, returning to a celebration dinner with family and friends at the Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City on Sept. 28.
50thLINDA AND BEN GALIZIOof Manorville were wed Oct. 26, 1963, at St. Athanasius Church in Brooklyn after Ben returned from his service in the Navy. The couple met at Lafayette High School in Brooklyn. Ben is a retired correction officer. Linda is a retired bookkeeper. They have three children and five grandchildren.

JACKSONof Manorville were wed Oct. 13, 1963. They celebrated with a trip to Alaska. They are both retired -- Norman from IBEW Local 25 and Judy from LILCO in Melville. They have two sons and four grandchildren.

CORSENTINO of Mineola were wed Aug. 10, 1968, at Immaculate Conception Church in Jamaica Estates, Queens. They celebrated with their two children and three grandchildren at a dinner in an Italian restaurant.
25thSUSAN AND CARMINE
SOLDANOof Deer Park were wed Sept. 23, 1988, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Massapequa Park. They celebrated at a surprise party at Verona Restaurant in Farmingdale, hosted by their three children and Carmine. Susan is a teacher in the West Babylon school district. The couple plan on retiring in the next few years and enjoy community service, entertaining and traveling.
