65thERNESTINE AND LEROI
RUSSELL of Lakeview were wed June 20, 1948, at St. Mark's R.C. Church. They celebrated with their four daughters, four grandsons and four great-grandsons. They met in Harlem in the winter of 1944, when LeRoi tried to pay Ernestine's bus fare. That day she paid her own fare, but LeRoi eventually won her over. They married after a four-year courtship.
60thELEANOR AND FRANK KVETON of Jericho and Longboat Key, Fla., were wed June 7, 1953, at a Presbyterian church in Ridgewood, Queens. They celebrated at a dinner with family. Frank is a retired radiologist and former flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force. Eleanor was a medical secretary. They have three children and three grandchildren.
55thDIANE AND PAUL LESNIAK of Ridge, formerly of Bellmore, were wed June 7, 1958. They celebrated with a European trip in April. Paul retired as president of Anton Waldman Associates woodworking in College Point, Queens. Diane retired as a human resources director at Darby Drugs in Westbury. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.
50thAUDREY AND JACK HEALY of Seaford were wed June 22, 1963, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with family and friends at a surprise party arranged by their three children and their spouses. Jack is retired from JPMorgan Chase Bank as a vice president in their private banking group. Audrey is retired from Nassau BOCES as a nurse in special education. A river cruise in France is planned for the fall.
50thJOHNNIE AND REV. ROBERT ALEXANDER, longtime residents of Central Islip, were wed June 16, 1963, in Baltimore. They celebrated with a weeklong trip to Barbados, a gift from their two children. The Rev. Alexander pastors a church in Wyandanch, where Johnnie serves as an ordained deacon. They have three grandchildren.
35thMARIANNE AND ALAN NAPPI of Merrick were wed June 24, 1978, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in South Ozone Park, Queens. They celebrated with family and friends on June 15 at a surprise party arranged by their two children and their spouses.
