Although school buses do exist, many of the children in Majuro either walk to school or ride on the back of pickup trucks as did this young student did in May of 2007. With no regularly scheduled bus service in the Marshallese capital, pickup trucks are by far the the most popular form of mass transit, followed by the many taxi's cabs that also ply the island's single main road. For a very reasonable fare, they will take you anywhere. (Credit: Newsday/)
