Sabine Brouxhon of Stony Brook has received a 2013 SUNY Technology Accelerator Fund Award for $50,000 from the SUNY Research Foundation for her work in epithelial biology. She is a clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at Stony Brook University's School of Medicine and has an active research program that has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and Susan J. Komen Foundation. Her research team is credited with discovering a novel cancer therapy that targets multiple chemo-resistant pathways.
