Susan VignatiChild care advocate

Susan Vignati of Seaford recently received the Margo O'Connor Advocate of the Year Award from the Child Care Council of Nassau in collaboration with the Nassau County Association for the Education of Young Children based on her contributions to early childhood education. Vignati is assistant director of Hofstra University's Diane Lindner-Goldberg Child Care Institute, which she joined in 2001. She has also served as president, vice president and conference chair of the Nassau County Association for the Education of Young Children and board vice president of the American Institute of Physics' Child Care Center.
