LI music buffs reflect on Michael Jackson's career
Peter Winkler, who teaches classical music at Stony Brook University, has taught pop music courses featuring the "Thriller" video.
"Of course, you have to talk about Michael Jackson," said Winkler, a Setauket resident and classical music composer. "I think he will be remembered primarily as a phenomenal performer. The music itself was not particularly innovative."
