Hundreds of LI schools, groups closed or delayed after blizzard

Hundreds of Long Island schools and organizations announced they're closing Monday, or delaying their opening, after a record weekend snowstorm that left up to 27 inches of snow on the ground.

Schoolkids by the thousands got an additional day to expand snow forts, build a higher snowman and engage in snowball fights.

Many of their parents weren't so lucky, however. Commuters Monday face a potential nightmare of clogged roads and dangerous driving conditions.
