November 11, 2009; Hauppauge, NY: Vehicle that was chased in a high speed pursuit along the LIE which started from Ronkonkoma, and ended on the westbound LIE around exi 46 after vehicle landed on it's side. Two occupants in the vehicle were injured, along with 5 police officers involved in the crash.

LIE chase ends in fiery crash
A wild 19-minute chase on the Long Island Expressway ended near Exit 46 in Nassau when a Jeep crashed into a median and a police vehicle, officials said.
