WOODBURY - – LIPA COO Michael Hervey spoke with News 12 Long Island this morning about the power outage situation across Long Island.

Hervey said Long Island was dealt another blow yesterday with the nor’easter and there has been a lot of damage done to the electric system. An additional 120,000 outages were reported since yesterday. Hervey said LIPA needs to re-calibrate themselves today and the recent storm will set them back a few days. LIPA officials say they have about 11,000 people in the field and 8,000 line workers trying to restore Long Island. To report an outage or a downed wire, call 1-800-490-0075.
