LIRR offers extra trains for the parade

The Long Island Rail Road will provide six extra westbound trains in the morning and eight extra eastbound trains in the afternoon to accommodate parade-goers, the authority said.

The MTA urged fans to take mass transit to the parade, which will close streets downtown from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
