LIRR riders talk Plan B if strike occurs

Newsday asked Long Island Rail Road commuters on July 9, 2014, about their alternative transportation plans in case of a July 20 strike by railroad workers. As of July 9, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the eight unions representing 5,400 LIRR workers remained deadlocked in a four-year-long contract dispute.
