Peppa Pig, star of the hit animated television show on Nick Jr., will be making an appearance at Westfield South Shore in Bay Shore on Saturday.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., children can meet Peppa, pose for a picture, participate in face-painting and crafts. In addition, kids can enter to win a great Peppa Pig prize.

Thirteen New York students, including two from Long Island, were recently awarded Kohl's Cares Scholarships.
More than 37,000 students were nominated nationwide for having a positive effect in their communities. Nearly 200 volunteers received $1,000 scholarships to be used toward their education. Winners were chosen based on initiative, leadership, generosity and project benefits and outcome.
