Long Islanders and guns
Here is how 807 Long Island residents responded to a survey about guns and violence that was taken January 6 to 9 – just as Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and state legislators were negotiating new gun laws. The survey, conducted for Newsday by the Siena Research Institute at upstate Siena College, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
