Man dies during NYC Triathlon
A 32-year-old man from Argentina died while competing in the New York City triathlon on the West Side yesterday, becoming the first fatality in the eight-year history of the race.
Police said the victim, who was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, suffered cardiac arrest at Pier 20 and 79th Street when he was brought to shore.
