10 hospitalized in carbon monoxide poisoning
Ten people were hospitalized, four of them in critical condition, after they suffered carbon monoxide poisoning Friday, caused by what appears to be a faulty furnace in an illegal Hempstead boardinghouse, officials said.
Two of those critically injured were children, said Hempstead Fire Chief Michael Charles.
Charles said firefighters arrived at 84 Wellington St. shortly after 9 p.m....
