Two men are facing charges, and a third suspect is still on the loose, after Nassau County police said they used a black handgun to rob a man as he was walking home in Lakeview early Friday.
Jeremy Freeman, 18, of Harrison Street, Lakeview, is charged with first-degree robbery and resisting arrest, and Tylik Wilson, 18, of Grant Avenue, West Hempstead, is charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree assault.
The 22-year-old victim was walking home heading south on Cleveland Street near Glenwood Road about 12:15 a.m. Friday when he was approached by three men, one of whom displayed a black handgun in his waistband, police said.
The other suspects stole the victim's wallet and fled north on Cleveland Street, police said. The victim, who was not identified by police, was not injured.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, Freeman and Wilson were located on Eagle Avenue and Woodfield Road in Lakeview and arrested.
They will be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said they are still searching for the third suspect.
