Two lanes of eastbound Hempstead Turnpike reopened just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the state Department of Transportation website, after having been closed because an accident.
Nassau County police reported the lanes closed at 2 p.m. at East Meadow Avenue because of an oil spill from a motor vehicle crash, authorities said.
