John J. Gotti: The so-called "Dapper Don" was boss of the Gambino crime family from 1985, when he orchestrated the murder of Paul Castellano in Manhattan, to 1996, when he was finally imprisoned. He died in 2002.

John A. "Junior" Gotti: Federal law enforcement officials say he's headed the Gambino family since 1996, but he said he quit the mob long ago. Now in jail awaiting trial on racketeering charges.
