A Connecticut woman was arrested Saturday after she offered an undercover officer sex for money in East Meadow, Nassau County police said.

Danielle Cummings, 23, of Enfield, was at an undisclosed East Meadow motel when police said she offered to perform a sexual act on an undercover detective in exchange for an agreed-upon amount of money.

Police arrested Cummings shortly after 10 p.m. and charged her with prostitution. At her arraignment on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead, Cummings was ordered held on $500 bond or $500 cash bail. She is due back in court Wednesday.
