State troopers arrested a Kings Park man on the Northern State Parkway Sunday and charged him with driving while intoxicated with his 3- and 5-year-old children in tow.
Anthony Martarana, 30, was arraigned Monday, charged with being in violation of Leandra's Law and other offenses in First District Court in Hempstead. His attorney could not be reached for comment.
Officials said Martarana was first pulled over for speeding by a trooper from the Lake Success barracks shortly before 11 p.m. at Exit 32 on the Northern State Parkway near Post Avenue in Westbury. The trooper reported the odor of alcohol while questioning Martarana, police said.DataSee most, least Leandra's Law casesPhotosRecent LI mug shotsDataLI crime stats

He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and traffic violations, police said.
Martarana was being held on $3,000 bond or $1,500 cash and is due back in court May 27, officials said.
