Bay Shore man charged in cockfighting
A Bay Shore man ran a cockfighting ring that included 24 roosters injected with steroids, Suffolk Police said Wednesday.
Oscar Ralda, 40, is charged with training an animal to fight, a felony, and keeping an animal for fighting purposes, a misdemeanor. He was held overnight and is to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Thursday, police said.
