Bellmore gas clerk refuses to open door, thwarts robber
A man wearing a ski mask pointed a rifle at a gas station cashier in Bellmore and demanded that he open the station's front door - but the cashier refused and the would-be robber ran off, Nassau police said.
The cashier, 53, reported that the suspect came to the door of the Shamrock gas station, at 2501 Merrick Rd., shortly after 9 p.m.
