A Bellmore man struck a man with a baseball bat and robbed him Thursday, Nassau County police said.

The victim went to the home of Anthony Pascullo, 22, of 2597 S. Saint Marks Ave., at about 2 p.m. to view some items Pascullo had for sale, police said.

When the victim, 28, did not want to buy any of the items, Pascullo struck him in the left arm and left leg with a metal bat, police said.

Pascullo demanded money from the man, who turned over several hundred dollars, police said. When Pascullo demanded more money, the victim gave up more cash and his credit card before fleeing the scene and then calling police.

Police said they found a metal baseball bat in the house and Pascullo was "found in possession of cash and the victim's credit card."

Pascullo was arrested on charges of first-degree robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.

The victim was treated and released at a nearby hospital.
