Body found in Wantagh park

Homicide detectives are asking for assistance in identifying a man found dead in a Wantagh park late Thursday afternoon. Nassau police said no criminality is suspected. The man was found by First Precinct officers responding to a 911 at about 5:50 p.m. in Twin Lakes Preserve near the corner of Old Mill Road and Ewell Place. He is said to be white, between the ages of 30 and 40, about 5-foot-9 and 225 pounds. The man's cause of death was not disclosed. Police are asking anyone with information to call homicide detectives at 516-573-7788 or Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
