Broken switch cancels trains on LIRR's Port Wash. line
A broken switch near Great Neck caused two trains on the Port Washington branch of the Long Island Rail Road to be canceled Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The 1:40 p.m. train from Port Washington and the 1:50 p.m. train from Penn Station were canceled, the railroad said.
The situation is not expected to impact the evening rush hour, LIRR spokesman Rich Mendelson said.
