Nassau County police have arrested a man after cops said he attempted to break into a Bethpage home Friday afternoon but was confronted by the homeowner.

Carlos Boles, 47, who has no known address, tried to enter a home on Elaine Drive in Bethpage at 12:40 p.m. by prying off a window screen in the rear of the residence, police said.

The homeowner heard a noise, looked out a rear door and saw Boles, police said. The suspect then fled the scene.
