Challenger hopeful in close Nassau comptroller race
With unofficial vote totals showing him defeating Nassau County's Democratic comptroller, Republican George Maragos said yesterday he remained confident he'd be the winner when all the votes are counted.
"I'm a little cautious," Maragos said, the day after vote tallies showed him with 576 more votes than the incumbent, Howard Weitzman.
