A child is the fifth Nassau resident with confirmed swine flu to die, the county announced Wednesday.
The county's health department did not release any identifying information about the child, citing privacy reasons.
Five deaths in residents with confirmed H1N1 influenza have been reported to the health department since swine flu was first identified in the spring.
