Chunks of Wantagh Parkway overpass fall on Southern State

An accident sent chunks of the Wantagh State Parkway overpass raining down on the westbound Southern State Parkway last night, closing the parkway between exits 28 and 27 in Wantagh, State Police said.
No one was seriously injured in the incident, which involved around 10 vehicles around 6 p.m.
Some had been involved in fender-benders, been hit by falling debris or had stopped, police...
