City Council to form task force to fight bedbugs
More New Yorkers soon may sleep a bit more comfortably after the City Council Wednesday passed a bedbug bill creating a task force to fight the spread of the pesky, bloodsucking crawlers.
Bedbug complaints citywide grew to 9,213 in fiscal year 2008 from 6,889 in the same period in 2007, according to Department of Housing, Preservation and Development records.
