Cops: 2 teens rob student of books, iPad

A teenager walking home from school was robbed of his textbooks and iPad by two others Friday in Uniondale, Nassau police said.

The victim, 14, was on Emerson Street near Hempstead Boulevard when he was pushed to the ground by two robbers, described as older teenagers, police said. It happened about 3:30 p.m., police said.

His attackers took his backpack, which contained the items, police said, and each ran off in a different direction. One went through a rear yard, and the other headed north on Emerson Street, police said.

The victim was not injured, police said.

The robbers were described as males about 16 to 18 years old, with one about 5 feet 10 inches tall and the other about 6 feet tall, police said.
