Cops: 2 teens robbed after answering ad

Two teenagers trying to buy an iPhone 5 were robbed of their money and personal belongings Thursday night in Lakeview, Nassau County police said.

The male victims, 16 and 18, went to Jefferson Avenue in response to a Facebook advertisement for the cellphone, police said. There, six unknown males approached them, police said.

The 18-year-old victim was punched in the nose before the assailants made off with cash, cellphone, headphones, wallet and pair of sneakers, police said. Police responded to the scene shortly before midnight.

The suspects were described as ages 20 to 25. One was wearing a dark color zippered hooded sweatshirt. A second suspect had on black sneakers, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a black skullcap. Suspect No. 3 wore a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and a bandanna over his face. A fourth man had on an orange sweatshirt, black shorts and a bandanna covering his face.
