Cops: 3 on bikes in Baldwin rob man of cellphone

A 32-year-old man was pushed to the ground and forced to give up his cellphone Sunday near the Long Island Rail Road train station in Baldwin by three men on bicycles, police said.

The victim was walking south on Grand Avenue about 12:35 a.m. when the three men approached him, Nassau County police said. One of the men, described by police as being tall, with a thin build and wearing a red baseball cap, pushed him to the ground and demanded his cellphone.

When the victim complied, the three fled on bicycles west on Beech Street.
