Five men were arrested early Monday in a double-stabbing outside a New Cassel bar and restaurant in which two of the men suffered non life-threatening injuries, police said.

The stabbing outside La Casa Del Marisco, 795 Old Country Rd., occurred at 2:10 a.m. following a "verbal altercation," Nassau County police said in a news release.

That altercation escalated when Inmar Lazo, 30, of New Cassel, "while armed with a knife and broken bottle" stabbed Enuar Rosales, 30, of Hicksville, in the left calf, police said.

Rosales, along with Felix Larios, 29, Manjinder Singh, 19, and Kulwinder Gill, 28, all from Hicksville, "then stabbed Lazo in the left arm and left hand with a broken bottle and repeatedly punched and kicked him about the head and body," police said.

Lazo was admitted to an area hospital, where he was being treated for non life threatening injuries, police said. Rosales was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening injury, police said.

Lazo, of 801 Oliver Ave., will be arraigned "as soon as medically practical" on charges of second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and two counts of fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.

Rosales and Larios, both of 128 South Fordham Rd.; Singh, of 7 Lottie Ave.; and Gill, of 14 Townsend Lane, were each charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, police said. They were to be arraigned Monday at First District Court, Hempstead.
