A woman and her 11-year-old daughter were injured, the woman seriously, on Tuesday when police said an elderly driver lost control of her car in a fast-food parking lot in Williston Park, jumping a curb and pinning the mother and daughter against the building.

The crash occurred at 6:50 p.m. at the Wendy's on Hillside Avenue, Nassau County police said.

Police said the woman, identified only as being 46 years old, suffered "serious leg injuries." The girl suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police said the two were pinned against the building by a 2008 Ford Fusion driven by a 75-year-old woman. The woman lost control of the car as she pulled into a parking spot in front of the Wendy's, police said, the vehicle jumping the curb and striking the mother and daughter. The driver suffered bruising, police said. Police said a male passenger, 77, was bruised in the crash.

Police said no charges were filed in the crash, but said the car was impounded for a safety and brake check.
