Dubon stabbed his 34-year-old girlfriend in the chest with a steak knife during a dispute at his house about 12 p.m. Friday and she then took a taxi to her mother's house, police said. "The victim realized she had been stabbed and was transported to an area hospital where she underwent emergency surgery for treatment of a punctured colon and punctured diaphragm," police said in a statement.

Police found Dubon in Brentwood on Sunday afternoon and arrested him without incident.

Police did not reveal the nature of the dispute.
