Cops: Hewlett couple tied up, robbed at gunpoint

A Hewlett couple was tied up at gunpoint in their home Saturday evening by two men who broke in and stole money and jewelry, Nassau County police said Sunday.

As a 73-year-old man returned to his Lakeview Drive home at 8:15 p.m. and opened his garage door, he was approached by two masked men, one carrying a handgun, who forced him inside, police said.
