An intoxicated Malverne woman punched a Nassau police officer in the face several times as she was being searched after her arrest, Nassau police said Tuesday.

Elissa L. Stallkamp, 36, of 89 Horton Ave., was held on bail Tuesday afternoon after being arraigned on second-degree assault, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and second-degree criminal contempt.

She had been arrested by Malverne Village police Monday night because she was intoxicated, which violated a Family Court order, Nassau police said.

At the request of Malverne police, the Nassau police department sent a female officer from the Fourth Precinct to help search the suspect.

During the search, Stallkamp punched the officer in the face several times, Nassau detectives said.

The officer was treated for facial injuries at a hospital and released, police said.

An order of protection was issued Tuesday against Stallkamp. She was held on a bail of $1,000 cash or $3,000 bond on the criminal contempt charge for allegedly violating the Family Court order. Bail on the other two charges was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
